The BBA2 winner confirmed this news and saying he is ecstatic about the development and can not wait for his bundle of joy to be born.

This is a shocking development especially after his on screen affair with Angolan BBA2 house mate Tatiana almost broke up their marriage.

The 34-year-old actor insists he can cope with not being recognised by the Academy Awards because he hasn’t yet reached his full potential in the movie industry.

He said: “The truth of the matter is that I have a lot to prove to myself still as an actor. And I still have that kind of thirst to want to do a performance that I’m happy with.”

Leonardo, who reunites with ‘Titanic’ co-star Kate Winslet on new movie ‘Revolutionary Road’, also revealed he found it “interesting” to see how Kate’s attitude to the industry has changed.

He added: “It’s interesting to see her after all these years and be in a working environment with her because she’s still got that same bizarre professionalism that she had in her early 20s.

“She’s still a committed actress, she’s still fervent about making every detail of her character come alive, but now she’s way more in control of that.”

She studied here so some people knew her and her nice body combined with the good voice helped her become popular so fast. But it looks like Ray-C is not celebrating anything like that on her latest visit to Uganda.
The singer was stranded at Entebbe Imperial Resort Beach Hotel last week. The whole circus started after a promoter, Choppa a presenter of the Weekender show on WBS TV , who brought Ray-C for a show disappeared without fulfilling his obligations hence leaving her helpless.
A source told us that Choppa only gave Ray-C a deposit of UShs600, 000 but she didn’t get her pay after her performance. To avoid embarrassment, the Tanzanian singer rang some of her Ugandan friends and Jose Chameleone came to her rescue. The singer cleared her bills and even took her to stay with his family in Sseguku. In fact, Chameleone even paid for her air tickets back home.

She didn’t manage to come home with the coveted prize during the recently concluded Face Of Africa competition, but for Ssubi, reaching the top 10 was enough proof she has what it takes to venture into the world of modelling. Robert Kalumba sat with her to talk fashion

What do you think was the difference between you, and the eventual winner, Ghana’s Kate Menson?
Nothing really, we all gave it a try, and there had to be a winner. Although I could say Kate was slightly taller than me, but I don’t think that could have been reason enough for her to triumph over me. For instance, I managed to get two photo shoots, whereas Kate managed one, but she still won. It means the judges were looking for something which Kate had.

Do you think your light complexion was a disadvantage to you?
No, not at all. The Ethiopian Hiwot was of light complexion, but she managed to reach top three. She is actually the first Ethiopian to ever get that far since the inception of the show, but she was light skinned! I don’t think my skin colour was a disadvantage.

What are the disadvantages of Foa as a reality show in one’s quest to be a model?
You know long ago, for one to try out, and be a model, the hustle was tremendous. You didn’t know were to start, what to do, etc. But for shows like Foa, someone trying out in the field of modelling has a starting point. The show cannot have disadvantages for someone wanting to start out in modelling. For example, I’m a product of the show, without it, would you have known me?

After failing to win the top prize, do you still have any chances of being a model, or could we say it’s the end of the road for you?
No, it’s not the end of the road for me. Actually after the show, I was approached by two big South African modelling agencies, wanting to look at my portfolio.
They are O models, headed by Oluchi, which signed the eventual winner, and Ice Models, another big modelling agency. I will be heading to South Africa soon, after a few things have been sorted out to start my modelling career.

Having failed to even reach the second round, in the final competition, would you consider that as a failure, let me rephrase; would you consider yourself a failure?
That would be kind of harsh to label me a failure! Look, right from the thousands who auditioned at Kabira Club, to the 18 girls who were chosen for the boot camp in Zanzibar, I have always felt a winner. Remember when we reached Zanzibar, we were again reduced to 10 girls, for the final in South Africa. Definitely, I was a winner, despite not winning the top prize.

What was it like dealing with Kaone, Andiswa, and Oluchi herself?
Despite their perceived tough TV persona, especially Kaone, they were actually nice people. They helped us, in every aspect, be it make up, to cat walking. Oluchi talked to us about the highs, and lows of the modelling world, and what to expect as models. They were nice people.

What were your highs, and lows as a Face of Africa participant?
The highs were many! Did you see the beauty of Zanzibar? I enjoyed myself in Zanzibar, especially during the Swahili week. And the girls were not bitchy; we were all like a family, encouraging each other, having fun together and so on. The lows were minimal; I found the organisation in South Africa not as clear cut as that of Zanzibar. But in all, it was a blast.

What are your immediate plans, and do they involve you looking for a boyfriend?
Hahaha, I’m single, and not searching, though I always see some tabloids insinuating that “so and so” is my boyfriend, but I laugh over such reports. Sometimes, I wonder where they get that stuff from! I’m going to concentrate on kicking off my modelling career, and like I told you, two agencies in South Africa are interested in me, so in January, I will be heading down there to start modelling.

Christmas Carols are being sung everywhere but there’s some new secular song coming our way and we have picked interest in it.

The song is called I Could Be You and the reason we’re interested in it is because it features new kid on the block, Nicolette Kiige, Uganda’s East Africa Idol finalist and Juliana. The love ballad sounds quite nice and we’re tipping it to take the airwaves by storm. A source told us that this is just one of the several songs that Nicolette and Klear Kut are recording.

“The boys (Klear Kut) needed some feminine voice in most of their songs and so they had to go for Nicolette,” said the source, “Klear Kut and Nicolette are busy in studio working on about four collabos.” One of the songs also features Wahu and Nameless. Wow, what a combination!

But word reaching our desk has it that the Ba Yuda singer is on a house hunt in Kigali. We hear he has been on contact with a top Rwandan Real Estate Company.

“He wants a really beautiful house in Kigali but it’s not clear if he wants to relocate,” our Kigali source said. Meanwhile, if you have been wondering where Chameleone gets all the money he’s splashing around since his nasty accident, wonder no more.

Close pals tell us that the singer has a mega mansion in Chicago which he rents. He bought it through auctioning last year. Unconfirmed reports indicate that Chameleone might be relocating to Kigali since he has a huge fan base there. This, our unreliable source says he will do after his Ba Yuda album launch set for 30th January. Watch this space!

It has been billed as a two year street dance party, which promises to usher in the new year in style characterised by fireworks and great performances, by many local artistes, all eager to start the new year on a high.

Street parties all over the world are known for their open air parties, with a carnivore-like spirit to them. The crowd, and the performers, who perform so close to the crowd feed off each other in terms of energy, and excitement. And according to the PRO of Club Silk Andrew Kaffuko, the Silk’s Two year street party promises an exciting way to usher in the New Year.

Performers of the night, which is on tomorrow will include Jose Chameleone, who has made performing in a wheel chair quite hilarious, Bebe Cool, Iryn Nambiru, Mowzey Radio and Weasal, plus the Stingerz and Infinity dancers.

Entrance for the street party will be UShs10,000. The gates will be open by 6p.m. and the party will go on till the morning hours of Thursday January 1, 2009.

Hitched
Two of the Uganda’s top artistes Jose Chameleone and Ragga Dee made honest women out of the mothers of their children and married them officially this year.
Ragga Dee made heads turn when he drove his bride Mariam Mbabazi from Namirembe Cathedral to their reception at Kampala Serena Hotel in January. Ragga Dee used an Escalade but Chameleone flew in a chopper with his bride Daniella Atim.
Chameleone’s would pass for the wedding of the year given the pomp that surrounded it. The interesting thing is that while Ragga Dee was exchanging vows with his bride, Chameleone was being introduced by his fiancé to her parents on the same day.
Prezzo also got married to his supposed longtime love Daisy Kiplagat and so exclusive was the wedding that some paparazzi were almost beaten up after gate crashing the venue.
Kenyan rapper Abbas Kubaff also tied the knot with his drop dead gorgeous girlfriend Baby Gangsta. They had hoped to have the days leading up to the wedding filmed as part of a reality show but that didn’t happen.

The futile promises
In Uganda even if we had such a number of international stars performing here, some of us are still not contented with people who promised to bring in some artistes and didn’t.
Bebe Cool failed to bring in Sean Kingston for his Omunene launch, probably one of the reasons his concert flopped. US-based promoter Suudi had promised to bring former world heavy weight boxing champion Mike Tyson and five international musicians for Henry Tigan’s concert but that never came to pass.
A one Captain Steven also promised to bring in Rihanna for a concert in November but we have since shut up and moved on! And to wrap up our misery were the Boyz II Men chaps who pulled out of “the biggest concert ever” with just a few days to go.
Akon continued to Con Kenyans promising to have a concert in the country and was a no show 3 times!!!
The singer was flown back home and admitted to Nsambya Hospital.
Doctors attached the accident to sleep-walking; however, his family said the singer had never had that problem previously. It was this misfortune that reunited him with his archrival Bobi Wine and they even performed together - with Chameleone on a wheel chair. The accident hasn’t kept him down and he is preparing for his album launch in mid January.

Making history
What better way is there for marking a decade in a career than winning a top accolade in that line of business? There is absolutely nothing that would have made Juliana Kanyomozi happier for her 10 year’s in the music industry than being recognized as the top musician in Uganda.
She beat Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine and Geoffrey Lutaaya to the Artiste of the Year award, becoming the first female to claim the most-coveted title and ending a five-year men’s dominance.
In 2007 they were Chameleone’s sidekicks, but this year Mowzey Radio and Weasal have been the hottest duo around, releasing hit after hit. They bagged three Pam Awards including song of the year for Nakudatta
