Chameleone’s 10 Years of Music
By SD • Feb 20th, 2010 • Category: Hot GossipJose Chameleone will be reflecting on his music career today at KCC Grounds, Lugogo at his Basiima Ogenze show. Despite the ups and downs, he has been entertaining his fans for a decade. “I am putting the highlights of my career together on this show,” he says.
Chameleone will hold other concerts tomorrow at Collin Hotel in Mukono and Resort Beach in Entebbe. The concert posters, with the inscription “overdose” and Chameleone in medical garb and cornrows, tells the controversies.
“I realised Ugandan music is going to another level and this is a way of rebranding. I am telling people they can be all they want to be. That means even a medical doctor can be a musician. No one should stop you,” he says. He says after 10 years of using limited resources, it is time he raised the bar. The first step is to use better equipment.
“I am going to use the same stage that R.Kelly used. R.Kelly disappointed people and left. Chameleone is here for life and cannot disappoint his fans,” he says.
The concert will take us through his musical journey that should end with his latest songs like Vumulia and the highly-regarded, Basiima Ogenze. Bedridden Bebe Cool is going to have his first outing today since the unfortunate shooting. But whether he performs or not depends on doctors’ orders.
