The afro-fusion singer Nyota Ndogo who was in Dar es Salaam until Thursday(18.02.2010) came out fighting to save her image after a Tanzanian tabloid carried a story saying that she had spent her Valentine’s Day with somebody’s husband.

The tabloid ”Risasi’ carried the story as the main headline with photos of a mystery man holding Nyota Ndogo closely. The singer came to us distressed saying the story was not true.

”That was the security man who was assigned to take care of me at the event in Dar es Salaam. Even if he was brought here today I cannot recall that face,” she said.

However, in one of the photos, the said ‘’security man” holds the singer in an compromising position but she insists that he was only offering her support to get on stage.

”I’ve never grabbed a headline and this one really ate my head up. I have never dated or even had a fling with someone’s husband. I dont even think of it I know how it hurts,’’she told us.

The singer has asked her fans not to believe the tabloid article.
