We are not quite sure what is happening at Mega Dee’s Afande Records but all reports indicate that the self-styled General is not a happy man. After the failed launch of his Akabadi album at Hotel Africana, we heard that one of his most notable record label sign-ups, Red Banton, had jumped ship.

And Red Banton is apparently not the only artiste who jumped ship. We have heard that another musician Mega Dee had high hopes in has also left Afande Records. Mega Dee had been telling all and sundry that one Marion Tumusiime would be the next big female singer. But Marion was snapped up by songwriter Sylver Kyagulanyi’s new outfit, Sikia Big Sound. Sylver is reportedly crafting a series of songs specifically to launch her in a big way. Meanwhile, she already has a collabo out with Mikie Wine titled Mwali Baana, a love ballad that celebrates the growth of childhood love.
