Dancehall star, Peter Miles, seems determined to complete his move to the mainstream. Going by his collabo with Kenyan hip hop star Nazizi, Miles might not be too far off from finally achieving that coveted regional fan base. The song Mschana sees both musicians go out of their comfort zones to craft a love ballad that is bittersweet and brilliant. It is not a song you could describe as hip hop or dancehall, though there are underlying traces of both influences.
A mixture of Swahili and English, the song is clearly aimed at Kenya and Tanzania with hope that Uganda will join in on the party. The singers have intimated that if this song does connect with audiences, it will be the beginning of more collabos.
