Wyclef Jean and DJ Benny Demus are going to Uganda for a concert that will be on 1st of August 2008.The concert is to cost Ugsh: 35,000 /Ksh: 1,400 per person. Celtel will be re-branding and adopting the name of their mother company, the Kuwait based Zain Telecom on that day.

Wyclef is be escorted by DJ Benny D who most party goers will remember as the boisterous and flamboyant DJ who excited many at the Rock with Akon Concert. The Akon concert was also sponsored by Celtel Uganda.

A week after  Uganda Breweries will host Shaggy (for finale of the dancehall themed Pilsner lager promotions we suppose). It had earlier been rumoured that Beenie Man is who would be going to Uganda but we has heard from impeccable sources that it is Shaggy that has been signed on, and we are happy. These won’t be the last big names to visit this country in a year that started with a Brick and Lace concert and has also seen UB40, Akon, Kirk Franklin and lesser known acts like Collie Buddz. Gen. Mega Dee and Bebe Cool have promised big international acts for their album launches
